WHO IS Opera on Original Site, Inc?

Opera on Original Site, Inc. has been founded with the aim to market and produce high quality operatic events at the sites with which they are most closely associated.

The production of Giacomo Puccini's Turandot at the Forbidden City in Beijing, People's Republic of China in 1998 has been the company's largest project so far, with a budget of close to US $ 15 million, and over 28,000 visitors from around the world.

Already in 1987, at the time of the first and most spectacular of the "Aida" (Verdi) productions at the temple of Luxor, Egypt, Michael Ecker, President of Opera on Original Site, Inc., was involved in the marketing of this one-time extravaganza for the European market.

This was followed by promotion, marketing and production planning of the open-air performances of the opera "Nabucco" by Verdi in Jerusalem in 1988, again for certain market segments.

For the "Three Tenors in Concert" held in Los Angeles in 1994 on the occasion of the festivities surrounding the World Soccer Cup, Michael Ecker undertook promotion and marketing for specified countries.

1996 saw him undertake marketing activities in various contries for the open-air performances in Paphos, Cyprus, of Verdi's dramatic opera "Otello".
